چکیده

Heavy metals (HMs) in soil are some of the most serious pollutants due to their toxicity and nonbiodegradability. Especially across large-scale areas affected by industry, complexity pollution sources has attracted extensive attention. In this study, an approach based on zoning analyze heavy was proposed. Qualitative identification quantification contributions key approaches prevention control metal pollution. The concentrations five HMs (Cd, Hg, As, Pb Cr) surface Chenzhou industrial impact area were research objects. Multiple methods used for source identification, including positive matrix factorization (PMF) analysis combined with multiple other analyses, random forest modeling, geo-accumulation index method hot spot analysis. results showed that average 9.46, 2.36, 2.22, 3.27 1.05 times background values Hunan soil, respectively. Cd associated moderately strongly polluted conditions, As unpolluted conditions Cr practically conditions. mining industry significant anthropogenic factor affecting content Cd, whole area, contribution rates 87.7%, 88.5% 62.5%, respectively, main influence within 5 km from site. addition, we conducted polluting enterprises identified spots, cold insignificantly enterprises, information as basis treatment discussed three subregions. originated mainly agricultural activities, a rate 63.6%, zone 3. sewage irrigation, 65.0%, 2, 800 m river. Heavy metal pollution and identification of their sources in soil over Sangan iron-mining region, NE Iran

The aim of this study was to determine the extent of metal pollutions and the identification of their major sources in the vicinity of the Sangan iron mine occurring in NE Iran. Soil samples were collected from the vicinity of the mine site and analyzed for heavy metals. In addition, the chemical speciation of these metals was investigated by means of the sequential extraction procedure. The st...

Heavy Metals in Air Nanoparticles in Affected Industry Area

The Moravian-Silesian Region is one of the most polluted sites by dust particles in the Czech Republic. Therefore, atmospheric concentrations of heavy metals as cadmium, cobalt, chromium, copper, nickel, lead, antimony, thallium, manganese, iron and zinc, were monitored at 10 localities in the region during summer of 2014. Heavy metals were monitored in 10 particle size classes from 18.3 nm to ...

Heavy metal concentration of soils affected by Zn-smelter activities in the Qeshm Island, Iran

In this study, concentrations of heavy metals in soils around a Zn-smelter in Qeshm island, Iran, are investigated. Calculated geoaccumulation index (Igeo), contamination factor (Cf), and contamination degree (Cdeg) values indicate surface soil contamination by toxic metals (As, Cd, Pb, and Zn). The results also indicate that most contaminated areas are located in the vicinity of the smelter an...

Identification of soil heavy metal sources from anthropogenic activities and pollution assessment of Fuyang County, China.

Understanding regional variations of soil heavy metals and their anthropogenic influence are very important for environmental planning. In this study, 286 surface soil samples were collected in Fuyang county, and the 'total' metals for copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd) and nickel (Ni) were measured in 2005. Statistic analysis showed that Cu, Zn, Pb and Cd had been added by exterio...
